Description
- Throttle inlet diameter 65.0mm (STD 62.5mm) Area ratio increased by 8.2%
- Butterfly diameter 62.0mm (STD 60.0mm) Area ratio increased by 6.8%
When tuning the turbo engine, which Honda has been using more and more in the recent progress in powertrains, we thought that the turbo engine was an NA engine with excellent air intake efficiency.
Through my experience tuning many NA engines, I learned that "leading as much air as possible to the combustion chamber with less resistance is an important factor in efficiently improving output." This product was born from our thoughts.
This throttle body has an enlarged butterfly diameter, which increases the flow passage area and increases the amount of intake air, resulting in improved output.
Furthermore, by raising the surface roughness inside the body and lowering the flow resistance, the flow velocity of the intake air increases and the response is improved.
In addition, the air intake layout of Honda vehicles is very excellent even with turbo engines, and in order to make the most of its performance, it is based on the normal throttle body, so it does not require any processing on the body side.
