Description

KW V2 Coilovers – 1971–1981 Volkswagen Beetle (11/13/15, Sedan, Convertible) is built for the enthusiast who wants the suspension to become a functional part of the chassis setup, not simply a visual drop.

KW V2 adds low-speed rebound adjustment to the core KW street coilover concept. KW's current V2 technology uses a 16-click rebound adjuster, allowing the driver to influence how firmly the chassis is supported as the suspension extends after a compression event. The application-specific calibration is intended to give the chassis a more deliberate response than a one-size-fits-all suspension combination.

Why Choose the KW V2 for This Application?

Choose the V2 when ride height alone is not enough and you want direct control over rebound. Rebound tuning can be used to influence how quickly the chassis settles after compression and how firmly the body is tied down through transitions.

Enthusiast Setup Perspective

This setup makes the most sense when the suspension is being treated as part of a complete package. Final ride height, alignment, tire choice and available bump travel should be considered together rather than setting the car as low as possible. For a road-driven car, preserving usable bump travel and sensible alignment is usually more important than using the full available lowering range.

Important KW Fitment Notes

  • KW Note 4: Height adjustable threaded housing struts for the front axle, sport shock absorbers for the rear axle (Height on the rear axle adjusted by standard torrision bar tuning)
  • KW Note 60: Only for cars with 2-hole-bracket at front axle

Fitment note: Specifications above are tied to the exact KW part number shown and the application data in the supplied KW jobber sheet. Confirm the vehicle's drivetrain, factory electronic suspension, axle weight and any listed hardware requirements before ordering.
