Description
For a 1998–2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK (W208, Coupe, Convertible) | KW 15225007 being developed beyond stock suspension behavior, KW V2 provides a more deliberate foundation for ride height, body control and tire management.
KW V2 adds low-speed rebound adjustment to the core KW street coilover concept. KW's current V2 technology uses a 16-click rebound adjuster, allowing the driver to influence how firmly the chassis is supported as the suspension extends after a compression event. The application-specific calibration is intended to give the chassis a more deliberate response than a one-size-fits-all suspension combination.
Why Choose the KW V2 for This Application?
Choose the V2 when ride height alone is not enough and you want direct control over rebound. Rebound tuning can be used to influence how quickly the chassis settles after compression and how firmly the body is tied down through transitions.
Key Features
- 16-click low-speed rebound adjustment
- Continuously adjustable ride height within the application-specific range
- Application-developed spring and damper package
- Useful tuning range for street, canyon and fast-road setups

Enthusiast Setup Perspective
The tuning opportunity is greatest when the car has already moved beyond basic cosmetic modification. As grip and braking capability increase, damper control becomes progressively more important to keeping the chassis predictable. For a road-driven car, preserving usable bump travel and sensible alignment is usually more important than using the full available lowering range.
Important KW Fitment Notes
- KW Note 0: Front and rear height-adjustable (front and rear springs with height adjustment + shock absorbers)
- KW Note 65: At lowering of more than 40 mm an increased tire wear is possible. We recommend to use the camber adjustment set for the front axle (Mercedes article no. 202 330 01 18)
Fitment note: Specifications above are tied to the exact KW part number shown and the application data in the supplied KW jobber sheet. Confirm the vehicle's drivetrain, factory electronic suspension, axle weight and any listed hardware requirements before ordering.
