Description

KW V2 targets owners of the 2009+ Audi Q5/Audi SQ5/Porsche Macan (8R/95B) who want a suspension package selected around the vehicle application rather than a generic spring-and-damper combination.

KW V2 adds low-speed rebound adjustment to the core KW street coilover concept. KW's current V2 technology uses a 16-click rebound adjuster, allowing the driver to influence how firmly the chassis is supported as the suspension extends after a compression event. For a heavier crossover/SUV platform, managing pitch, roll and vertical body motion is a major part of making the vehicle feel more composed without sacrificing useful travel.

Why Choose the KW V2 for This Application?

Choose the V2 when ride height alone is not enough and you want direct control over rebound. Rebound tuning can be used to influence how quickly the chassis settles after compression and how firmly the body is tied down through transitions.

Enthusiast Setup Perspective

The tuning opportunity is greatest when the car has already moved beyond basic cosmetic modification. As grip and braking capability increase, damper control becomes progressively more important to keeping the chassis predictable. For a road-driven car, preserving usable bump travel and sensible alignment is usually more important than using the full available lowering range.

Important KW Fitment Notes

  • KW Note 2: Height adjustable front and rear axles (front axle threaded strut housings, rear axle adjustable springs + dampers)
  • KW Note 10: For V2, V3 & Street Comfort coilovers, front shock absorbers need to be removed from the car for adjustment of stiffness
  • KW Note 62: Not for vehicles with electronic damping

Fitment note: Specifications above are tied to the exact KW part number shown and the application data in the supplied KW jobber sheet. Confirm the vehicle's drivetrain, factory electronic suspension, axle weight and any listed hardware requirements before ordering.
