Description
For a KW V5 – 2013–2017 Dodge Viper SRT (VX I) (excl. ACR) being developed beyond stock suspension behavior, KW HLS provides a more deliberate foundation for ride height, body control and tire management.
KW HLS is designed to temporarily raise the vehicle at low speed to clear steep driveways, ramps and other obstacles while retaining a performance-oriented suspension setup. HLS configurations vary by application and may lift the front axle or both axles. On a performance-focused chassis like this, suspension tuning becomes increasingly valuable as tire grip, alignment and braking capability are raised.
Why Choose the KW HLS for This Application?
Choose HLS when a low performance setup creates a practical clearance problem. The hydraulic lift is intended for obstacles and access situations while allowing the normal performance ride height to remain unchanged during driving.
Key Features
- Hydraulic temporary lift function
- Designed to improve obstacle clearance without permanently raising the car
- Application-specific HLS 2 or HLS 4 architecture
- Compatibility depends on the underlying KW or OE suspension configuration
Vehicle Fitment
- Make: Dodge

Enthusiast Setup Perspective
The tuning opportunity is greatest when the car has already moved beyond basic cosmetic modification. As grip and braking capability increase, damper control becomes progressively more important to keeping the chassis predictable.
Important KW Fitment Notes
- KW Note e: Utilizes HLS Evolution Pump
- KW Note 1: Height adjustable on the front and rear axles (threaded strut housings)
- KW Note 88: Electronic damping control has to be deactivated. Deactivation kit is included in the delivery.
- KW Note 90: Aluminium suspensions struts
Fitment note: Specifications above are tied to the exact KW part number shown and the application data in the supplied KW jobber sheet. Confirm the vehicle's drivetrain, factory electronic suspension, axle weight and any listed hardware requirements before ordering.
