These are extended tie rods which offer a similar benefit to Roll Center / Extended Ball Joints. The increased height reduces the angle of steering tie rods when lowering your car. They help to keep factory suspension geometry while lowering your car.
Old worn and tired bushings will drastically reduce the feel and handling of your car. Replacing worn bushings and suspension components can really make an older car feel new again.
