Description
The HKS Front Pipe is a high-flow exhaust upgrade developed for the 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5). Designed to complement the HKS Metal Catalyzer, the larger-diameter SUS304 stainless steel front pipe reduces the restriction created by the factory front pipe and improves exhaust flow efficiency while adding a sportier exhaust note.
HKS optimized the pipe diameter, bend angles, and flange transitions through repeated testing. The design uses high-quality TIG welding and carefully finished flange joints to minimize steps and disruptions in the exhaust path. The front pipe can be paired with the HKS Metal Catalyzer and either the factory exhaust or HKS LEGAMAX Sports exhaust.

HKS Testing
In HKS flow-bench testing with the HKS Metal Catalyzer, the HKS Front Pipe reduced exhaust resistance compared with the stock front pipe. HKS also recorded increased power and torque in its FL5 test configurations. Results are based on HKS in-house testing and may vary depending on vehicle specification and measurement conditions.
