This combination is intended to support rotor stability through the repeated heating and cooling associated with demanding braking.

The friction surface and pad compound should be selected together. A rotor upgrade should complement the vehicle’s brake configuration and intended duty rather than substitute for appropriate pads, fluid or cooling.

The slots and drilled holes create exit paths for friction dust and gases at the pad contact surface.
