Description
The DBA 5000 Series Drilled & Slotted Front 2-Piece Brake Rotor provides a replacement braking surface for 2012-2015 Lotus Exige.
The 5000 Series uses an iron friction ring and a separate aluminum center hat. Dividing these functions allows the wearing friction component to be serviced separately from a reusable hat, subject to condition and exact component compatibility.
The aluminum hat is part of the series’ approach to managing rotor mass and heat transfer at the hub. Replacement rings and hats must match the particular assembly; vehicle application alone does not establish interchangeability.
The slots and drilled holes create exit paths for friction dust and gases at the pad contact surface. Match the stated position and surface design to the existing brake configuration.
