The CSF 8400AR is the BMW Gen 2 B58 Race X Charge Air Cooler Manifold. This listing is supplied in the Anodized Red configuration.

This assembly combines the intake manifold and charge-air cooling functions. Engine generation, sensor connections, coolant routing, and the selected fueling configuration must match the installation.

Technical features

• Core can be setup for dual or single pass: The -16 ORB bung on front water end plate can be used to adjust the flow configuration to single-pass and/or to be used with an ice-box setup. Includes CNC machined plug for dual-pass configuration
• Designed in SolidWorks Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Inlet-tank air divider distributes charge air across the core
• Slotted mounting holes on the throttle-body side
• Provision for spin-off oil-filter service access
• Sensor pad with two 1/4 in NPT ports and three 1/8 in NPT ports
• Included Fuel Rail for Top Feed Port Injection
• Individual 1/8 in NPT runner ports for nitrous or methanol injection
• Rear water connections include individual 1/8 in NPT bleed ports
• Installation requires modifications and an experienced B58 technician

Installation and compatibility

Confirm engine generation, sensor provisions, coolant routing, and the intended fueling configuration before installation. Follow the installation instructions for this manifold; do not assume that shared vehicle model names establish compatibility.

• The CSF #8400 will NOT fit the B58N (B58TU2 / B58B30M2). The B58N uses the BMW 11-61-7-952-861 Charge-Air-Cooler Manifold which is not interchangeable with the OE 11-61-8-647-977 or CSF #8400.
• Mild Hybrid Models (48V systems) will require modifications to the alternator.
• Mild Hybrid Models (48V systems) will require significant modifications to install. This includes an additional 8200S spacer (sold separately), shaving down the humps in the casting on the cylinder head, and shaving down the alternator.
