The CSF 7225 is the BMW 2002 / 1602 High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator - Silver.

The radiator transfers heat from circulating engine coolant to the air passing through its core. Tube and fin condition, fan operation, and the airflow path all affect the cooling system’s ability to reject heat.

Installation and compatibility

Match the engine, transmission, and chassis application shown below. Check hose routing, fan and shroud clearance, and the condition of the rest of the cooling system during installation. Fill and bleed using the procedure specified for the vehicle.

• The CSF #7225/7225B were designed around the architecture of the early model E10 chassis. The Late Model/Facelift 2002 (1974-1976) had larger frame rails than the early models due to the introduction of the "impact bumpers". Supports and shocks for these bumper were housed in the frame rail section making them much wider.
