The Big Deal about the POCO Shift Knob
Countersunk shift knobs are a smart way to achieve shorter shift throws and a reduced knob height without modifying the shifter. The challenge is keeping the shift boot tidy. This low-profile design solves that with an integrated shift boot collar, delivering an ultra-low knob height and a clean, finished look that keeps the shift lever hidden.
What to Expect
Most knobs sit around 25mm (1 inch) or higher above the top of the shift lever. This one sits just 3–4mm taller when mounted, so shifts feel shorter and firmer with throws typically 5%–10% shorter than non-countersunk knobs. The built-in boot collar clips securely into the knob for one of the most seamless, well-integrated installations available.
How it Works
Affix the boot collar to the shift boot using a low-profile cable tie (3 included). Thread the knob down onto the shift lever until it stops, then simply clip the collar into the knob to complete the install.
Materials and Finish
Each unit features a heavy stainless steel inner core paired with a 6061 aluminum outer shell and shift boot collar in a tasteful, satin anodized finish. An internal elastomer ring provides positive collar retention, similar to the popular 1924 shift boot collars. All lettering is laser-etched for long-lasting durability.
