Description

Which Configuration Should I Choose?
| Vehicle Use | Recommended Starting Point |
|---|---|
| Street / Performance | Heavy Duty (HD) + Sprung + Street |
| Higher-Power Street | Xtreme (XT) + Sprung + Street |
| Street / Track | Heavy Duty (HD) or Xtreme (XT) + Sprung + Race |
| Track / Competition | Heavy Duty (HD) or Xtreme (XT) + Rigid + Race |
For most street-driven vehicles, start with a Sprung Hub + Street Disc configuration. Choose between Heavy Duty (HD) and Xtreme (XT) based on the vehicle's power level, intended use, and required clutch capacity. Rigid Hub and Race Disc configurations are more competition-oriented and may trade street refinement for a more direct, aggressive setup.
1. Choose Your Clamp Load
Heavy Duty (HD)
Recommended as the more street-oriented starting point for performance builds that need increased clutch capacity while retaining greater consideration for regular street use.
Xtreme (XT)
Recommended for higher-output or more demanding applications where additional clutch holding capacity is the priority. Choose XT when the vehicle's power level or intended use calls for a more aggressive clutch configuration.
2. Choose Your Disc Hub
Sprung
A sprung hub provides additional drivetrain damping and is generally the preferred choice for vehicles that regularly see street use. Choose Sprung when drivability, reduced drivetrain harshness, and street manners are priorities.
Rigid
A rigid hub provides a more direct connection with less damping. It is generally better suited to track and competition-focused builds where direct engagement takes priority over NVH and everyday street comfort.
3. Choose Your Disc Type
Street
The Street configuration is the preferred choice for street and performance vehicles where more manageable engagement and regular road use are priorities.
Race
The Race configuration is intended for more competition-oriented applications where aggressive engagement and performance take priority over everyday drivability.
