Description
HKS Intercooler Piping
Product Overview: HKS Intercooler Piping is a charge-air cooling component intended to manage intake-air temperature on forced-induction applications. This listing is structured around the exact HKS product/SKU so shoppers can match the component to the intended vehicle or build without relying on a generic product-family description.
Vehicle Application: 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R (FK8)
Driver Benefit: Improved charge-air cooling helps control heat soak and supports more repeatable engine performance during sustained boost, repeated pulls, and track use.
Recommended Use: Best suited to turbocharged or supercharged street/track builds where thermal consistency is important.
Technical & Fitment Notes
- Verify compatibility with the vehicle's existing intake, charge piping, engine management, and other forced-induction hardware.
- Power results depend on the complete combination and calibration; no specific power gain should be assumed from the component alone.
- Original catalog note: Note: NOT CARB Legal - This product is not currently CARB exempt and is not available for purchase in California & CARB States or for use on any vehicle registered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The HKS Intercooler Piping Kit stabilizes and improves boost pressure and response by replacing the factory rubber intercooler hoses with aluminum pipes that are not prone to expansion or cracking. Replacing the rubber inlet & outlet hoses with aluminum hoses restrains its expansion to improve the throttle response and smoothly increase the boost pressure. Also, aluminum hoses can be securely connected even under a high pressure. Features: Factory rubber hoses are replaced with aluminum pipes and silicone joint hoses, and they are secured with reinforced hose bands. HKS original casting inlet pipe allows smooth layout.
Fitment and specifications can vary by HKS part number, model year, trim, transmission, drivetrain, and market. Confirm the SKU and application before ordering, particularly on modified vehicles.
