How It Works

The PERRIN Driveshaft Carrier Bushings replace the soft OEM rubber bushings that mount the driveshaft carrier bearing to the chassis. Upgrading your driveshaft support bushings ensures your driveshaft is held firmly in place at all times.

What Do Driveshaft Carrier Bushings Do on Track?

Driveshaft carrier bushings support the center support bearing (CSB) and control drivetrain movement under load. In high-performance driving environments, the factory rubber bushings allow significant deflection during acceleration, deceleration, and high-RPM shifts. That deflection translates into driveline lash, inconsistent throttle response, and unwanted harmonics.

Upgrading to performance carrier bushings (polyurethane or solid) reduces compliance in the driveline system, resulting in:

  • Improved throttle response – Less rotational wind-up before power reaches the differential

  • More consistent power delivery – Reduced oscillation during on/off throttle transitions
